Dwarr "Animals"

Aquarius has CD copies of this proto-doom-psyche masterpiece. If you ever watched Night Flight or Heavy Metal on LSD, then you MUST own this.Long-time HSS/HSJ followers know how I feel about Dwarr. Also, possibly the only Dwarr interview in existence, by yours truly, here.

Nekrasov, "Cognition of Splendid Oblivion"

The latest from HSS favorite Nekrasov. You can get it from Siege of Power. The preview track on the Nekrasov myspace page is uncompromisingly brutal and flat-out incredible. It sounds like the man has really outdone himself, and that's saying quite a bit if you ask me.

Airs

Just found this band a couple days ago, but I'm really impressed. Black Metal meets shoegaze meets bleak acoustic folkiness. So far, they've released a demo and a full length (digitally, with a physical release of the full length coming) and their latest demo, Kill Yourself on Valentine's Day, set to be released by Depressive Illusions (which you can check out here).

There is a mediafire link to the their first demo, Happy Songs for the Terminally Ill on their mySpace page, and you can download their full length, titled A Left Turn at Happiness, here. Support the band if you can - I was only the third out of 500+ plus people to pay for the download. I was essentially promised that the second full length would be pressed on vinyl, so since we all know that vinyl is expensive to press, let's show these guys some love and make sure that it happens.

Bone Awl "Sunless Xyggos"

Well it looks like Klaxon Records finally closed, because they suck. Seriously, I've had times where packages take me a while to send (like now), but some people have waited a year or more for stuff. Anyway they turned Klaxon into two new labels, and this new tape features the Bone Awl songs from the Rita collab but without the Rita's noise parts.

So, buyer beware on the new labels. Google it if interested.

Ominous Crucifix / Soul Eater "Split"

Killer death thrash split tape. Old school worshipping carnage. Order from impiousdesecration [at] gmail.com
