Seriously, Fuck American Health Care

Ludicra needs your help.

Ludicra are not only an amazingly awesome band, they're genuinely good people. Knowing that, I ask you to check your bank account to see if you can afford to give them a bit of help. Guitarist John Cobbett recently had a run-in with appendicitis, and without health insurance, his costs are escalating out of control. The band is in Olympia right now, and will be continuing their De-Cancelation Tour in a couple of days minus John while he recovers.

If you would like to make a donation to LUDICRA/John Cobbett directly through Profound Lore, simply send a manual paypal payment here: profoundlorerecords@gmail.com and in the subject line please write “Ludicra Donation” just so they know what it's all about.

Listen, I know the economy is bad, so if you can't, you can't. Certainly we all understand. But if you can even afford $5, they'd appreciate it, because they're good like that.

Thanks.

On the Powers of the Sphinx LP

New 4-way split out on the Ajna Offensive. Features one song each from Saturnalia Temple, Nightbringer, Nihil Nocturne, and Aluk Todolo. Been waiting for this one for a while.

Agalloch Shirts

Two new great-looking Agalloch t-shirts are available from the fine folks at Kreation Records. For $20 each you can't lose.

The Howling Wind "Into the Cryosphere" CD

Another new release of chaotic black metal from Profound Lore. Very old-school feel to it. Recorded by Colin Marston from Krallice (and Gorguts now, too, in case you didn't know).

Coffinworm "When All Became None" CD

Debut full length of blackened sludge/doom from Indiana. On CD from Profound Lore. Recorded by genius Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Twilight, Minsk, Buried At Sea).

The Royal Arch Blaspheme 12"

Interesting release here from The Royal Arch Blaspheme, which is comprised of Neill Jameson (aka Imperial) from Krieg and John Gelso from Profanatica. Paul Ledney, also from Profanatica, did the cover art, which is pretty rad if you ask me. The pre-order is up now at Hells Headbangers.

Embers

Amazing ambient/atmospheric black metal from California's Bay Area. Check out their website here, and visit their bandcamp page here to grab a free download of their awesome split. Then shoot back over to their website and pick up the 12" split, their self-titled EP, or a t-shirt to show them some support.

Culted, "Of Death and Ritual" CD

New EP from these guys, who, if I'm correct, have still never all been in the same room together. This is a kick-ass follow up to last year's debut, Below the Thunders of the Upper Deep, and includes a cover of the Swans classic "Whore." Get it from Relapse.
