Dead to a Dying World 2xLP

Holy shit. This just made my day. This band, from Dallas, TX, plays epic, apocalyptic crust with elements of doom and black metal also in the mix. It's dark, edgy, cathartic and  simply beautiful. In some ways it almost reminds me of Nux Vomica (one of my absolute favorite bands), whose Dave Dean incidentally designed the band's logo.  The self titled debut album features three songs and clocks in at 44 minutes. The 2xLP is top-notch in every way. Heavyweight gatefold cover with killer art (seen above) by Bryan K. Ward, two slabs of translucent-green 200-gram wax packed in metallic-silver printed innersleeves, all neatly enclosed in a heavy duty slipcase. Oh, and it's mastered at 45 RPM for optimal sound-quality. You can stream the album for free at the Dead to a Dying World bandcamp page.

This gets the highest recommendation I could give. Brilliant music, and absolutely killer packaging. Should be available next month, and you can pre-order it at the band's label, Tofu Carnage Records.
