Menace Ruine, Union of Irreconcilables 2xLP

It must be my lucky week... first, the Velnias album is getting pressed on vinyl, and now this. One of my favorite albums from last year is getting pressed to wax by Andrew at Aurora Borealis. No expenses spared, either. This is deluxe shit. 180 gram double black vinyl, heavyweight matte gatefold and black inner disco bags, packaged in a deluxe heavy PVC outer bag with flap. I absolutely cannot wait to get this on my turntable.

I reviewed this album shortly after it came out, and everything I said then remains true. Every time I play it, it's like an experience. One of those albums that gets better with time, and continues to leave me breathless.

Edition of only 500 so make sure you get one before they disappear.

Absolutely *LOVE* this band. What a fucking journey they take you on.

just read your review of this... you mentioned the "searing" guitar tone - which is funny, because this band uses no guitars, ever!

honestly, i feel like MR is in decline; like the die is cast IS the pinnacle of their creativity; this album struck me as being extremely unfocused and full of unnecessary filler.

that being said, they are still one of my favorite bands, and i always look forward to seeing them, or to any new releases. here's hoping they step it up a bit next time...

Funny, I feel like they're at the height of their craft...

Are you sure they don't use guitars? I've heard they don't use them much for live performances, but they're used in recording fairly extensively in comparison.
