Rituals Debut LP, Vestiges / Caulfield Split 7"

What you see above is the forthcoming debut self-titled LP from a Phoenix, AZ 5-piece called Rituals. They play a style of metal that fuses elements of doom and post metal, thereby creating an intoxicatingly beautiful yet brutal sound that leaves you wanting more. I've only heard a couple of songs from this LP, but I'm really excited about it, because these dudes deliver, no doubt. You can check out a couple of songs on their Facebook page. The LP will be pressed on glow-in-the-dark red vinyl (100 copies) and on 180 gram black vinyl (900 copies), and comes in a gatefold sleeve. Available for preorder from Replenish Records in the US, or from Alerta Antifascista in Europe.

Our friends in Vestiges are also releasing some new music soon, this time a cover of The Cranberries' "Zombie," one of the heaviest songs to grace mainstream rock radio nearly two decades ago. This will be featured on a split 7" with California's Caulfield, who play a unique and distinctly heavy style of dark hardcore that I really dig (and obviously think and hope that you will as well). Their song here is a cover of Nirvana's "Dive," coincidentally one of my favorite Nirvana songs. Available in three colors. Also available for preorder from Replenish Records, or directly from Vestiges, here.

Replenish has a lot of really excellent stuff in the works: Alda's masterpiece :Tahoma:, a Vestiges/Panopticon split, a Masakari/Tempest split, and more. Stay tuned.
