The Ajna Offensive.
We start with what you see above: the Grave Command: All Hallowed Hymns compilation picture disc LP. It's not actually released by Ajna - it's being released by Unseen Forces, and distributed by Ajna. It's a record that has been in the works for a while, as far as I can tell, and will finally be available in just a couple weeks or so. This collection of music celebrates "the thinning of the veils between the living and the (un)dead that occurs under the hungry Harvest Moon!" The songs here were written and recorded specifically for this release, and the picture-disc comes packaged in a full-color LP jacket with stellar artwork by Brian Profiliio. Songs by Ride For Revenge, Deceased, Venenum, Ghoul, Xander Harris, Occultation, and others. This is limited to 1000 copies, and Ajna has 400 to go around.
Aluk Todolo is always reason to celebrate, and though I have yet to hear this one, people I know who have heard bits and pieces confirm that it is excellent, and indeed their best work yet. I have no reason to believe any different. Occult Rock is released as a double-album - a 2xCD and/or a 2xLP - and contains 8 tracks of absolute instrumental hypnosis said to transcend anything the band has previously released. For our friends in Europe, this can be had from the band, here, or from Norma Evangelium Diaboli. And in the US and North America, obviously, from Ajna. Officially released on the 21st.
Sabbath Assembly, entitled Ye Are Gods. If you are familiar with the first record, Restored to One, you know what to expect - psychedelic rock highlighted by disturbingly beautiful female vocals - but know that this record is darker, more mysterious, and features the vocals of Jamie Myers (who has worked with Hammers of Misfortune and Wolves in the Throne Room) rather than Jex Thoth. Rest assured that it is a stunning and informative collection that will not disappoint. Also available on CD and/or LP format.
